What are the needles plates?
Needles plates are accessories for woodworking machines, like CNC machines, routers or nesting machines and they’re utilized together with the vacuum system, that is already on your machine (vacuum pods or suction cups).
They’re function is ensure a better clamping on X/Y axes, avoiding vibrations and the loss of the work piece clamping during processing.
How the needles plates?
Stainless steel micro needles inserted in plates, penetrate slightly into wood (leaving an invisible footprint) when the vacuum system is activated, so as to create a solid anchor with the work piece.
With this system on creates a whole between machine and work piece, and this is the ideal condition for processing with milling process.
So your work piece is mechanically fixed to the CNC machine and it no longer supports on common rubbery seals and consequently vibrations of piece are almost null.
How do I use the needles plates?
Needles plates are simply fitting on small pockets of the vacuum pods that already have got (look at the joint documentation on bottom page), or on various models of vacuum pods that we produce with already in place with plate’s housing.
